Extracurricular ActivitiesAt Kin Kin Early Education

At Kin Kin Early Education, we believe that extracurricular activities play a crucial role in children’s development as they allow children to explore their interests and passions. Extracurricular activities at Kin Kin include Bush Kindy, sports, arts and crafts, music, dance, sustainability, and cooking. By participating in these activities, children learn to work collaboratively with others, develop self-confidence, express themselves, and develop a growth mindset.

Kin Kin Early Education Murray Bridge Childcare About Us

Bush Kindy

Bush Kindy is one of our flagship programs at Kin Kin Early Education. Our Pre-Kindy and Kindy children explore forests and parks around Murray Bridge, where they are encouraged to explore, play, and learn in a hands-on, experiential way, with a focus on nature-based activities and experiences.

Through bush kindy, children can learn about the natural world, gain an understanding of ecological systems, and develop a sense of stewardship and respect for the environment. Bush Kindy also fostesr a sense of community and belonging, as children learn to work together, support each other, and appreciate the diversity of their peers.

Yoga Program

Our yoga program introduces young children to the practice of yoga, which involves a combination of physical postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation. Children learn basic yoga poses, such as downward dog, tree pose, and child’s pose, as well as simple breathing exercises and mindfulness techniques.

Through yoga, children develop their strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and ability to focus and concentrate. Yoga can also provide a safe and nurturing space for children to explore their inner selves and develop a sense of self-awareness and self-acceptance.

Dance Program

At Kin Kin Early Education, our dance program introduces children to the foundations of dance, music, and rhythm. Children learn different stypes of dance and practice basic dance movements such as jumping, twirling, and sliding.

Through dance, children can develop their coordination, balance, flexibility, and strength, as well as their spatial awareness and sense of rhythm. Dance also promotes social and emotional development, as children learn to work together, follow instructions, and express themselves through movement.

Art Program

At Kin Kin Early Education, children of all ages participate in our Art Program. Our art program allows children to experiment with different materials and techniques and exercise their creativity.

Children enjoy painting, drawing, clay sculpting, felt craft, recycled art, and open ended play with loose parts. Art and craft activities are also an excellent way for children to express themselves, develop their fine motor skills, and gain a deeper appreciation of art and culture.

Sustainability Program

Our sustainability program focuses on promoting environmentally sustainable practices and behaviours among students, staff, and the wider school community.

Through activities such as recycling, composting, reducing energy and water consumption, and incorporating sustainability education into our curriculum, we encourage children to develop a strong sense of environmental stewardship.

At Kin Kin Early Education, we believe these skills are increasingly important for future success in a world facing numerous environmental challenges.

Cooking Program

Our cooking program is a fun and engaging way to introduce young children to the world of cooking and food preparation.

Children can learn basic cooking skills such as measuring ingredients, mixing and stirring, cutting and chopping, and baking or cooking simple dishes. They can also learn about different types of foods, and how to prepare them in healthy and tasty ways.

This program also helps to develop positive attitudes towards healthy eating and nutrition, as children learn to appreciate a variety of foods and understand the importance of balanced and nutritious meals.
